In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda.
In a medium bowl, mix melted butter with granulated sugar.
Mash bananas with a fork and add to the butter-sugar mixture along with vanilla extract and sour cream. Mix gently to avoid over-mixing, which can lead to a dense texture.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just moistened.
Pour the batter into a greased pan.
Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes. If the bread starts to darken, cover loosely with aluminum foil for the last 15 minutes of baking.
For the Brown Butter Icing:
In a small pot, brown the butter over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Gradually add powdered sugar and milk while stirring continuously.
