Ingredients

  • 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs *see notes below*
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoon chicken bouillon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

SAUCE

  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 large jalapeños cut into ¼ inch slices
  • ¼ cup honey

Instructions

Season the Chicken

  • Add the chicken thighs to a bowl and coat evenly with onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, chicken bouillon, and salt. Make sure each piece is well seasoned on both sides.

Brown the Chicken

  • Heat oil in a wide skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken in batches until golden on both sides. You're building flavor here not cooking it all the way through yet.
  • Remove the chicken and set aside.

Build the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add soy sauce, water, honey, garlic paste, black pepper, and jalapeño slices. Stir gently and bring to a simmer.
  • Serve with white rice and enjoy!
