Yellow Rice and Red Beans

Yellow rice and Red beans is a caribbean recipe seasoned with sazon, knors and boiled with chicken stock to add more flavor. This recipe is quick and easy to make and will be your go to dish that you cannot live without!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups long grain white rice
  • 1 packet Sazon con Azafran
  • 1 stalk green onion
  • 1 can red beans
  • 3 ½ cups chicken broth water can be used as well
  • 2 chicken bouillon
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium size pot on medium high heat. Add in your scallion and cook on both sides until it has browned. Make sure to not burn it or the whole batch of rice will taste burnt!
  • Add in your beans and fry for about 3 minutes then add in the rice cook for another 3 minutes constantly turning so it doesn’t stick to the pot.
  • Season the rice with sazon, knors seasoning and salt.
  • Throw in your chicken stock and bring your fire to high heat until the water is almost dissolved. Quickly cover it and bring it down to low heat and allow to steam for 30 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice using a fork and enjoy !
